Sharing family recipes, old and new is a favorite tradition.

To start off a party, these holiday recipes may be simple, but they are full of tradition and love from friends and family.

Homemade Chicken Salad

This is the BEST chicken salad recipe. It could not be easier or more delicious. With chicken, cranberries, grapes and pecans, it’s full of wonderful flavors and textures.

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 cups (about 2 pounds) cooked, chopped chicken breast
3/4 cup small green or red grapes
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped pecans

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayo, mustard, onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.

2. Make sure your chicken is completely cool. Chop it up and add it to the bowl.

3. Gently fold in the grapes, cranberries and pecans.

4. Eat as is or place on sliced croissant rolls.
