Summertime…when youths plan for beach days, parents prepare for family trips, and the price of gas may be your biggest concern. It is also, however, the time that we pay homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. That brings to mind a massive undertaking—one that spanned decades, several boards-of-directors, multiple logistics challenges, and funding issues—that has at last become a reality: The Florida Medal of Honor Memorial & Visitors Center.

Finally, a home to honor and remember the twenty-four Florida veterans who received the Medal of Honor has a permanent and prominent location in Sebring! Located at 442 South Eucalyptus Street, the memorial proudly stands at the intersection of Eucalyptus Street and South Commerce Avenue in the historic

Downtown Sebring district.
