Letter From The Publisher
It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is quickly approaching. This time of year is filled with fall festivals, family gatherings and eventually cooler weather. Sharing special moments with my family for these occasions is so special to me but makes me think of the people that are less fortunate and are not able to fill their bellies with a warm meal or children that won’t have a gift for Christmas. I am excited to share with you two ways that Heartland LIVING is involved to assist in giving back to the Heartland community that we know and love.
We are honored to be celebrating our 5th Anniversary this year and we are going to celebrate with our Inaugural Jamboree in December. It’s my way of saying “Thank You” to my loyal advertisers and readers for your commitment to this publication because it’s because of you that I get to fulfill my dreams and give you this piece of my heart. During the celebration we will be accepting unwrapped toys to benefit Toys 4 Tots in the Heartland as well a silent auction with all proceeds donated to The Children’s Museum of Highlands to help with their renovations and get the museum back open for our children. Details and information can be found in this issue, I hope to see you all at our Anniversary Celebration to help us celebrate this milestone for Heartland LIVING while giving back to the communities.
Our second way of giving is through a joint effort with CountryFlo Music and Camping Festival and Lake Wales Care Center called Project of the Heart. If you are attending the festival, there will be barrels available for you to bring food items that will help fight hunger and provide a Thanksgiving dinner to families in need in the Lake Wales community. You can also donate at www.CountryFlo.com.
Being the Official Magazine of CountryFlo Music and Camping Festival, we are excited to give you a preview of some of country music’s top artist that will be rocking the stage at Triple Canopy Ranch November 4 and 5 and especially honored to have the talented Chris Stapleton grace our cover. The CountryFlo team has been hard at work to provide the Heartland community a state of the art festival and we are thankful that we are a part of this amazing event. Hope to see you all at the ranch!
As many of you know October is breast cancer awareness month and I feel we found the perfect lady to share her story with all of you. I want to thank Maria Fanazzi for sharing her beautiful family with us. She is the epitome of strength and hope and I just know that by sharing her journey, someone’s life will be blessed.
As always, I want to thank my amazing staff. They say it takes a village to raise a family and that’s how I feel about my staff, it’s takes each and every one of them to produce this ‘Labor of Love’, I am overwhelmed by their God given talents. I hope you enjoy this issue, thank you all for making these past 5 years unforgettable. I’m looking forward to our continued journey together!
